Obruni what?

Chances are you’re wondering what in the world “Obruni,” means… If so, you’ve come to the right place. All over Africa, each country has their own word for “white person.” In Kenya it’s mzungu, but in Ghana it’s obruni. While in the U.S. we would never run around calling each other by the colors of our skin, it is not unfamiliar in many Africa countries. They yell “OBRUNI!” and you yell “OBIBINI!” in reply. It’s a piece of cake.
